UPSC COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (CDSE) 2015
UPSC CDS Examination is the right option to them who are interested in serving the nation through defense services i.e. army/navy/air force. C D S E means COMBINED DEFENSE SERVICES EXAMINATION.You can directly be employed as an officer in defense forces through this examination conducted by UPSC (Union public services).

Generally many think that Defense forces chances are for men only. But women can also participate in country’s service through CDSE.
WHO ARE ELIGIBLE and for WHICH BRANCH
Unmarried women should apply only to the Chennai Officers Training academy which is reserved for women. For the rest of the courses unmarried men are eligible. They have to choose the preference of the academy and the course while filling up the online application form.
For example: to join in Air force, preference should be mentioned as Air force. There is no chance to change their option once mentioned in the application form.
Educational Qualifications and Age limit:
To join in Indian Military academy, any degree is required. Age must be between 19 to 24 years (on the date of advertisement).
To join in Indian naval academy, Must be B.Sc (physics, maths) or B.E degree. Age 19 to 22 years.
To join in Air Force Academy, must be B.Sc (Physics, math). Age 19 to 23 years.
To join in Officers training academy any degree is required. Age 19 to 25 years.
SELECTION: Selection is done through written test, intelligence, personality and medical test.
EXAMINATION PROCEDURE: It is completely of objective type. The examination procedure is different for Officers Training Academy and the rest of the Academies. All the questions in the CDS examination paper will be as per 10th Class Level.
